How 10 years in enterprise taught me everything the AI industry is getting wrong
I spent over a decade at SAP — one of the world's largest enterprise software companies. Not in one role, but across sales, marketing strategy, client delivery, and complex platform development. I've sat in boardrooms with C-suite executives, translated business problems into technical specifications, and delivered systems used by thousands of people.
That breadth of experience is unusual. Most people specialise. They either understand the business or they can build the technology. Very few do both. And that gap — between business understanding and technical delivery — is exactly where most AI projects fail.
I started Pyper AI because I kept seeing the same pattern: businesses that knew AI could help them, but had no idea where to start. They'd talk to AI companies who spoke in jargon.
